Ingredients
Pizza
1 large pizza crust or flatbread
2 cups Floridia shredded mozzarella cheese
1 packet Gourmet Chef Chicken/Beef Pepperoni (150gm)
Sauce
1 can Cirio diced tomatoes, undrained
6 ounces Cirio tomato paste
1 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F.
Pizza Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
Pre-bake your pizza dough for 6 minutes. Skip this step if using flat bread.
Then top your pizza dough/flat bread with a thin layer of pizza sauce.
Then add a thin layer of mozzarella cheese, a layer of pepperoni, and sprinkle another thin layer of cheese on top of the pepperoni.
Bake at 450 F for 10 -15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
