Pepperoni Lovers Pizza

Serves 6-8 slices



Ingredients

Pizza

  • 1 large pizza crust or flatbread

  • 2 cups Floridia shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 packet Gourmet Chef Chicken/Beef Pepperoni (150gm)

Sauce

  • 1 can Cirio diced tomatoes, undrained

  • 6 ounces Cirio tomato paste

  • 1 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tsp granulated sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

  • salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F.

  2. Pizza Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.

  3. Pre-bake your pizza dough for 6 minutes. Skip this step if using flat bread.

  4. Then top your pizza dough/flat bread with a thin layer of pizza sauce.

  5. Then add a thin layer of mozzarella cheese, a layer of pepperoni, and sprinkle another thin layer of cheese on top of the pepperoni.

  6. Bake at 450 F for 10 -15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
